Nick Kofod Mogensen, Kgl. Bibliotek: Unknown girl, CDV by Ludvig Luplau, Chicago.I'm working at the Department of Maps, Pictures and Photographs at the Royal Danish Libray, and currently I'm digitizing "Rungstedlingsamlingen", i.e. Karen Blixens photo collection. In that collection, there is a bunch of folders titled "unidentified children's photos".
In one of them, this little girl was hiding. There's no information about who she is, but the photographer was Ludvig Luplau in Chicago. If anyone happens to know who she is, I'd be happy to add it to the library's database. If not, well, enjoy the photo!

Rasmussen, Rock Island, Ills.
På kartonnet står: Rasmussen (photographer)/17 25 Seventh Avenue/Rock Island, Illinois. Forestiller muligvis Edward Wiener.
Mr. Wiener has a sharpshooters cross, rifle with bayonet, spike helmet, leather looped bayonet scabbard, and white facings on the uniform, so he is in the infantry. The sharpshooter's cross on the uniform. Circa 1885-1900, an Ordnance Corporal which would be consistent with the photo being from the Rock Island area. |

Anton Palme Rohde (1842-?), fotograf i Chicago 1871-1901
F. i Fredensborg, cand. pharm. 1866. På apotek i Chicago. Fotograf i Chicago 1871-1901. Flere udstillinger: Den nordiske Udstilling 1888, Minneapolis samme år. Rohde and Schutz, 1875-1885
